I’d have scored this much higher if it hadn’t taken me so long to get into the book. Although I enjoyed what I was reading enough to continue now and then, it wasn’t until about 2/3 of the way through the book before it reached the point where I didn’t want to put the book down.
Based on the last 1/3 of the book though, I’m tempted to give the author the benefit of the doubt. Especially having read what is the 2nd book in the Honor Harrington series first
Hopefully once I’ve read the first book “On Basilisk Station” I’ll find myself drawn into the story quicker. If that’s the case, there’s several more books in the same series.
Honor of the Queen is a well written Sci-Fi novel telling the story of Honor Harrington, captain of the starship HMS Fearless.
“Honor of the Queen” can be bought in print from Amazon, but you can also download it from the Baen free library .
